The aubergine, mainly known as Eggplant across the globe, is a perennial plant that is grown in several regions across the globe, with the biggest producers being China and India. Aubergines place of origin is not 100% known, but various sources suggest India, Africa and South Asia as places of origin.
The common name Eggplant originates because some aubergines have a white skin, making their appearance very similar to that of a hen’s egg. Of course, today the most common aubergine is a bright, glossy, purple colour.
While supplying the stadard aubergines, we also supply exotic varieties such as several mini varieties, graffiti striped, green Thai aubergines, and long Japanese Aubergines.
