Blueberries (arándanos in Spanish) are now Peru’s prime berry-export as the industry has grown exponentially in recent years to become the biggest source of blueberries globally.
The berry shrub prefers open sunny conditions and is intolerant of shade, making it a perfect plant for the Peruvian and Moroccan climate. In general, the berries are ready to harvest when the green- pink colour turns completely blue, juicy and sweet.
